yet another new day!

As the sun sets in the blood red sky
And a baby bird learns how to fly
There’s a silent whisper in the grass
That grows to something that you can’t pass
And a little boy asks his father
“Baba, where is my mother? ”
Though these are things that we all know
We really want to forget them so
We all know it, though we don’t say
It’s nothing new, just another day

Just like every other day
Everything’s the same
Never going to change
…meanwhile…
A single mom works for her baby
An old man begs because he can’t see
Have you ever asked
“What if that were me? ”

If you had to break you back all day
All for a small worthless wage
that can never bring ugali from 1st to first
Do you think anybody will care
That you’re being worked like a slave
And heading for an early grave

If you’re sitting on the cold street
And stink more that your feet
Remember, when Mr reality walks by
And you ask for spare change
His answer is always the same
He’ll turn around and say
“Don’t fuss, usi jifanyee saana`.it’s just another day
